The teleprompter is a floating window that stays on top of other apps, so you can keep reading the translation while you work in something else.
How much of it you control depends on the platform.

On Windows and Mac
Move it
Drag the top of the window to reposition it anywhere on your screen. It stays on top of other apps automatically, so you don't have to bring it back every time you click elsewhere.
Resize it
Drag the bottom-right corner. Make it small for a single subtitle line, or large for paragraph-style display.
Customize appearance
Click the gear icon on the Teleprompter button at the bottom of the main window. From there you can adjust:
- Background opacity — solid, or nearly transparent over your content
- Font size — a slider, to fit your screen
- Original Color — one of six presets (white, yellow, green, cyan, orange, pink) for the source language
- Translation Color — a different preset for the translated text, so the two are easy to tell apart at a glance
Your settings are saved automatically between sessions, so the teleprompter opens exactly where and how you left it.
On iPhone
The iPhone teleprompter is a Picture in Picture window, the same kind iOS uses for video. That has two consequences worth knowing before you rely on it.
- iOS owns its size and shape. You can drag it around the screen and pinch it larger or smaller, but only between the sizes iOS offers — there is no corner to drag, and it does not grow as more text arrives. Instead, the newest lines stay in view and older ones scroll off the top.
- Set the look before you start. Font size and text colour are picked in the app's settings; the floating window itself carries no controls.
Turn it on with the teleprompter button on the session island, then leave StreamVox — the window follows you into your video, browser or game.
iOS does not hand calls or copy-protected content to any app, so the teleprompter cannot subtitle a phone call, a FaceTime call, a call in a messaging app, or DRM video such as Netflix. This is an iOS restriction, not a StreamVox setting.
Closing the floating window does not stop the translation — it carries on inside StreamVox. Stopping the session closes the window by itself.
