• 新增Nine more languages StreamVox can listen to: Afrikaans, Armenian, Assamese, Georgian, Kazakh, Mongolian, Nepali, Pashto and Punjabi.
• 新增Eight more languages to translate into: Albanian, Basque, Galician, Icelandic, Maltese, Scottish Gaelic, Swahili and Welsh. Subtitles appear in these; listening is covered by the 61 languages above.

• 修复Sharper icons throughout, and a few that were slightly cut off now show in full.

A new look, drawn from scratch

A visual refresh across the whole app brings new icons throughout and text sized consistently on every screen.

• 优化Every icon has been redrawn to stay crisp at any screen size and consistent throughout the app.
• 优化Text is sized consistently across every screen, so labels and headings read the same everywhere.
• 优化Buttons and menus fit their content, so nothing is stretched or cramped.

• 修复StreamVox no longer takes your chosen mode away from you mid-call.
• 修复Reading back through the text is no longer interrupted. New lines can't break what you're selecting, and the view no longer jumps to the bottom while you read.
• 优化Scroll up and StreamVox stays put; a small arrow appears only when new text has arrived while you were reading.

The first launch is instant

• 修复The very first launch is now instant, with no blank screen and no waiting on a local-network permission before the app opens.
• 修复The app opens on its own dark background instead of a white flash.

Tells you when the app you picked is silent

• 新增If the app you chose for single-app capture isn't producing sound, StreamVox now tells you which app is silent, instead of quietly using up your session time.

StreamVox comes to iPhone

Real-time AI subtitles and translation, now in your pocket.

• 新增StreamVox for iPhone runs on iOS 17 and later.
• 新增Translate what you hear around you through the microphone, or what your iPhone itself is playing, which StreamVox captures through the system broadcast picker.
• 新增Conversation mode interprets both sides of a live talk on one screen, across 10 languages.
• 新增The teleprompter and spoken translation come along, the same as on the desktop.
• 新增One subscription covers all three, so your plan works on Windows, Mac, and iPhone, one active device at a time.

Per-app capture says what it can do up front

• 优化If your version of Windows can't capture a single app's sound, StreamVox says so up front and suggests a working alternative rather than refusing only after you press Start.
• 优化The echo warning during spoken translation now appears exactly when it's genuinely needed.
• 修复The System Audio option was mislabelled in Italian.

Microphone and device audio together in Conversation Mode

Conversation now listens to your microphone and your Mac's sound at the same time, on two separate channels instead of one shared recording.

• 新增Choose "Microphone and device audio" as the source, and all 52 languages become available in Conversation mode, instead of 10.
• 新增Quality and Medical modes now work in Conversation mode too.
• 新增Turn the microphone off while you're only listening, since there's no need to keep two channels running when you're not speaking.
• 优化The window now shows where the sound comes from and what each source option gives you.
• 优化StreamVox tells you if the speech doesn't sound like the language you picked.
• 修复The microphone keeps working when you connect headphones mid-session.

Microphone and computer sound together in Conversation Mode

Conversation now listens to your microphone and your computer's sound at the same time.

• 新增Choose "Microphone and computer sound" as the source, and all 52 languages become available in Conversation mode, instead of 10.
• 优化Each side is recognised in its own language, so both are understood more accurately.
• 新增Quality and Medical modes now work in Conversation mode too.
• 优化In the refreshed main window, empty panels tell you what will appear and let you choose where the sound comes from right there, then step aside at your first word.
• 优化StreamVox reopens in the mode you left it in, and the teleprompter can now be closed from the teleprompter itself.
• 优化If one side loses its connection, the other keeps translating and tells you what happened. Messages are also clearer whenever something needs your attention.

Long-form speed & Korean spacing

• 优化Translation arrives about twice as fast when you speak for a long time without pausing.
• 修复Korean text no longer runs words together.
• 优化Languages in the list are now labelled in your own language too, so the one you need is easy to find.

Thai speed & mode-accuracy fixes

• 优化Thai transcription and translation now appear noticeably faster, with the delivery delay down from around 6 seconds to under 1.
• 修复Fixed Medical mode failing outright for Chinese and Arabic sessions.
• 修复Gaming and Meeting mode's specialized vocabulary list is now used only for English. It used to be applied even on non-English sessions, where it couldn't help and slightly hurt accuracy.

Sentence-cutoff & long-pause fixes

• 修复Fixed an issue where a sentence could be cut off mid-word during a natural pause in speech, sometimes corrupting the text that followed.
• 修复Fixed a rarer issue where a long stretch of speech (up to around 49 seconds in one observed case) could go completely untranslated. Pauses that used to slip past the safety net are now caught reliably.

Transcript reliability

A reliability release focused on transcript quality.

• 优化Fewer duplicate lines during live transcription.
• 优化More of what's spoken reliably makes it through as finished text, instead of being dropped.

Certificate fix & more natural sentence breaks

• 修复Fixed a connection issue that could prevent some users from reaching speech recognition at all, caused by a single corrupted security certificate in the Windows certificate store.
• 修复Subtitle and translation text is now split more naturally at sentence boundaries, so a single sentence no longer occasionally arrives as two separate, disconnected pieces.

Speech-recognition reliability

A reliability-focused release that closes several ways speech could silently go missing.

• 优化Speech recognition is more resilient to connection trouble. If part of the recognition service becomes unreachable, StreamVox automatically tries a backup connection instead of ending the session.
• 优化If a connection genuinely fails, StreamVox now tells you clearly, instead of silently doing nothing while appearing to still be working.
• 修复The very first words spoken right as a session starts are no longer lost while the connection is being established.
• 修复Cleaner microphone audio when the input is loud.
• 优化More reliable microphone capture-device selection.
• 新增A warning now appears if your microphone isn't picking up any sound at all.
• 修复Conversation mode: when two speakers switch languages back-to-back with no pause, each part is now translated in its own correct language, instead of one language being applied to both.
• 修复Speech that the recognition engine failed to properly finalize is now recovered and still delivered instead of being lost.

The reliability release

Steadier connection handling, easier-to-hit buttons, and a top bar that looks the same on every macOS version.

• 修复On macOS 14 and 15, the top bar could stretch and overlap; it now looks the same on every macOS version.
• 优化The top-bar button now names your current plan and opens the plan list in one click. From there you can move up or down, and nothing is purchased automatically.
• 优化Buttons are easier to hit. They respond across their whole area, not just the label, and light up under the pointer.
• 优化When the connection is having trouble, StreamVox now waits until it's really connected, retries by itself, and tells you plainly if it still doesn't work, instead of waiting in silence.

Quality & interface polish

Sharper Conversation mode, a clearer status footer, and a cleaner look throughout.

• 修复Conversation mode now translates the first phrase after each language switch correctly.
• 修复The window no longer slides off the bottom of the screen when you turn on spoken translation.
• 优化The footer now shows whether the app is listening, hearing speech, or translating.
• 优化Switching the audio source now clears the previous text.
• 优化Settings is now called My Profile, and microphone noise reduction has moved to the audio-source menu.
• 优化A clearer look throughout, with plan colours, more readable labels and usage bar, and refreshed typography.

Subscriptions & purchases

More reliable subscription status and clearer feedback when restoring purchases.

• 优化Restore Purchases now shows your current plan, or a note if no purchases were found.
• 修复Purchases awaiting approval (Ask to Buy) now show as pending instead of an error.
• 优化Subscription status updates faster and more reliably across your devices.
• 修复Fixed an issue where the previous plan could briefly appear after upgrading.

Post-launch fixes

The first round of fixes after the Mac launch.

• 修复The first launch is smoother and no longer asks for your macOS keychain password.
• 修复Guest usage is now preserved when signing in and out of an account.

StreamVox comes to Mac

Real-time AI subtitles and translation, now native on macOS.

• 新增Built for macOS 14.2 Sonoma and later (Apple Silicon and Intel), StreamVox for Mac brings the same real-time translation experience as Windows.
• 新增Spoken translations use the voices installed on your Mac (around 40 languages). For natural speech, download enhanced voices in macOS System Settings; the app shows you how.
• 新增One subscription covers both platforms, so your plan works on Windows and Mac, one active device at a time.

Account & subscription management in My Profile

Manage your account and subscription right inside StreamVox, with no more hunting through store settings.

• 新增My Profile in the Account menu shows your plan, status, and billing provider at a glance.
• 新增Manage your subscription from the app, where you can cancel, change your payment method, or view invoices through our secure billing portal.
• 新增Subscriptions billed through the Microsoft Store or App Store get a direct link to the right management page.
• 新增Delete your account in-app, with a clear confirmation step.

Purchase protection & subscription polish

New safeguards make sure you're never charged twice, and the plan-selection screen is cleaner.

• 新增With purchase protection, StreamVox checks your account before any purchase and warns you if you already have an active subscription, so you can't pay twice by accident.
• 新增A cross-store safeguard gives you a clear heads-up before buying if your plan is billed through a different store (for example the Microsoft Store vs. our website), so you're never charged twice.
• 优化The plan-selection screen is cleaner, with a better layout, and the Unlimited plan now has its own premium look.

Translation modes + Medical mode

Pick the translation mode that fits the moment. Real-time subtitles are much cleaner too.

• 新增Gaming, Meeting and Movie translation modes, plus a new Quality mode for maximum accuracy.
• 新增Medical mode helps you better understand doctor and telehealth conversations in your language (for understanding, not diagnosis; not a medical device).
• 优化Smoother live subtitles, especially in two-way conversation mode, with more natural line breaks, faster results and sharper translations.

Stability & clarity

• 修复Squashed a crash that could occur when closing the app, so StreamVox now shuts down cleanly every time.
• 优化The upgrade screen now clearly states the subscription terms (monthly, auto-renewing) and exactly how to cancel with each payment method.
• 优化Extra reliability polish under the hood.

Text-to-Speech (Beta)

StreamVox now reads translations aloud in real time, synthesized privately on your device.

• 新增Spoken translations (text-to-speech), fully on-device, in 21 languages and counting.
• 新增Hands-free TTS controls in the teleprompter overlay (on/off + speed/volume) for calls and gaming.
• 优化Voices download on demand (~60 MB per language), then play instantly.
• 优化Crisper, more readable reading panels and clearer who-speaks-what labels in conversation mode.

A live two-way interpreter in Conversation Mode

Talk face to face across languages in one window while StreamVox listens to both sides and translates each into the other's language automatically.

• 新增Conversation mode: automatic two-way interpreting between any two of 10 languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Dutch, Hindi).
• 优化Each speaker gets their own color; a third, unexpected language shows in white so it stands out.
• 优化Stopping a session or switching languages now happens smoothly in the background without a freeze, and reconnecting after Wi-Fi blips is faster.

Teleprompter Lock for gamers & single-window

• 新增Teleprompter Lock (🔒) makes the overlay fully click-through, so your cursor and camera stay with the game while translations stay visible. Press Ctrl+Shift+L to unlock.
• 修复Launching twice now just brings your existing window to the front instead of opening a second copy or showing a false "already in use on another device".

Teleprompter session prompt & quick overlay settings

The 2-hour "still there?" check-in protects your monthly plan minutes if you step away and forget to stop.

• 优化The 2-hour check-in now appears inside the teleprompter window, where it's easy to spot even in a fullscreen game.
• 新增Quick settings (⚙) in the overlay let you change opacity, font size and text color without alt-tabbing back to the main window.
• 优化Long sessions recover from network blips much more gracefully.

Smarter translation model & long-session stability

• 优化An upgrade to the latest AI translation model makes translations noticeably more accurate, with the biggest gains on Asian languages and longer, complex sentences.
• 优化Stays running through long gaming streams, multi-hour calls and all-day meetings without disconnecting on its own.

52 input languages with Mandarin & Gujarati

• 新增Mandarin Chinese as an input language, in both Simplified (Mainland) and Traditional (Taiwan, Hong Kong).
• 新增Gujarati joins as the first Indo-Aryan language in the StreamVox family.
• 优化Cleaner spacing and punctuation for Chinese and Indian scripts, with no awkward gaps between characters.
• 新增52 input languages total, up from 49.

Crash fixes, teleprompter clear & sharper icons

• 修复Fixed a rare crash when opening "Contact Us" or other external links, which are now handled safely in the background.
• 新增A Clear button in teleprompter mode wipes the overlay subtitles in one tap, which is handy for gamers and streamers between rounds.
• 优化New crisp SVG icons across the interface look sharper on high-DPI displays.

Cleaner sentence breaks & word-by-word reveal

• 优化Sentences no longer break in the middle of a word or after an abbreviation like "Dr." or "U.S.A."; short orphan words merge with the previous line instead of dangling.
• 新增Translations appear word by word in a natural rhythm that feels alive, like watching a person type (iOS 26 live-captions style).

Smarter subtitle layout & live preview

• 新增Subtitles adapt their layout to each language, so there are no awkward line breaks. Works naturally for English, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai, Arabic, Hindi and 40+ others.
• 新增Live preview: like a real news ticker, words fade in softly as they're recognized, then become solid once confirmed.
• 新增Line-by-line mode for movies and streams puts each sentence on its own line, synced with the speaker.
• 优化Cleaner sign-out, steadier long sessions and more consistent translations.

Built-in help, auto-reconnect & full UI translation

• 新增A "?" button opens the built-in Help, a full FAQ inside the app.
• 新增A Clear button wipes both Original and Translation panels in one tap, which is perfect when starting a new call.
• 优化Reconnects automatically if your Wi-Fi drops for a second, so you no longer have to press Stop and Start.
• 优化Sign-in is smoother, and long sessions stay active without surprise "please log in again" prompts.
• 新增Full interface translation into all supported languages.
