Refund Policy
Last updated: July 6, 2026
Overview
We want you to be happy with StreamVox. This page explains how refunds work, who to contact, and how cancelling differs from getting your money back.
How you get a refund depends on where you bought your subscription. StreamVox is sold through three channels, and each has its own merchant and its own refund process:
Apple App Store (on macOS) — refunds are handled by Apple.
Microsoft Store (on Windows) — refunds are handled by Microsoft.
Direct / web purchase through Paddle — refunds are handled by us through Paddle, and are covered by our 14-day money-back guarantee described below.
Wherever you bought it, cancelling a subscription stops future charges but is not the same as a refund. See "Cancelling is not the same as a refund" below.
StreamVox is operated by Aleksejs Giruckis, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
14-Day Money-Back Guarantee (direct / web purchases)
If you buy a paid StreamVox subscription directly from us on the web (through our reseller Paddle), you are covered by a 14-day money-back guarantee. This applies to all paid tiers — Pro ($8.99/month), Pro+ ($14.99/month), and Unlimited ($24.99/month).
Within 14 days of your initial purchase, you can ask us for a full refund and we will give it to you. We do not require a reason — you do not have to justify why StreamVox was not right for you. We do ask for your order details (the email you purchased with, or your Paddle order or receipt number) so we can find your payment and process the refund quickly.
This guarantee applies to your first purchase of a plan. It is not intended to cover repeated cancel-and-rebuy cycles or renewals you simply forgot to cancel (for those, see "Auto-renewal" below).
Important scope note: this 14-day money-back guarantee applies only to purchases made directly from us through Paddle. It does not apply to purchases made through the Apple App Store or the Microsoft Store, because those payments are taken and refunded by Apple and Microsoft under their own policies — we are not able to refund a payment we never received. If you bought through the App Store or Microsoft Store, see the sections below.
How to Request a Refund From Us
To request a refund for a direct / web (Paddle) purchase, email us at founder@streamvox.pro. Please include the email address you used to buy, and your Paddle order or receipt number if you have it, so we can locate the payment.
We aim to review refund requests promptly. Once approved, the refund is issued back to your original payment method through Paddle. The time it takes for the money to appear depends on your bank or card provider, and is typically a few business days.
Paddle is the merchant of record for our direct sales, which means Paddle handles the payment, invoicing, and the mechanics of the return. You can also raise a billing question directly with Paddle using the link on your Paddle receipt. Either way, contacting us at founder@streamvox.pro is the fastest route and we will coordinate with Paddle on your behalf.
Who Charged You — and Who Refunds You
StreamVox works on both Windows and macOS, and one subscription entitles you to use it on both (with one device active at a time). But the company that actually charged you — the merchant of record — depends on where you bought the subscription, and only that merchant can refund it.
Apple App Store (macOS in-app purchase): Apple is the merchant. Your subscription is charged to your Apple ID and is governed by Apple's media-services terms. Refunds are requested from and decided by Apple. See "Apple App Store refunds" below.
Microsoft Store (Windows): Microsoft is the merchant. Refunds are requested through your Microsoft account under Microsoft's policy. See "Microsoft Store refunds" below.
Direct / web purchase (Paddle): Paddle is the merchant of record, acting for us. These purchases are covered by our 14-day money-back guarantee, and you request the refund from us at founder@streamvox.pro.
If you are not sure which channel you used, check where the charge appears: an Apple ID / App Store receipt, a Microsoft account order, or a Paddle receipt email.
Apple App Store Refunds (macOS)
If you subscribed through the Apple App Store on macOS, Apple processed the payment and Apple handles all refunds. As the developer, we are not able to issue or guarantee a refund for an App Store purchase — that decision rests with Apple, at Apple's discretion and under Apple's policies.
To request an App Store refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find your StreamVox purchase, and choose the option to request a refund. You can also request refunds through your device: on macOS, App Store account settings and purchase history include a "Report a Problem" option.
Apple's own consumer terms and the applicable statutory rights in your country still apply to these purchases. If Apple declines a refund you believe you are entitled to, contact us at founder@streamvox.pro and we will help where we can, but the final decision on an App Store refund is Apple's.
Microsoft Store Refunds (Windows)
If you subscribed through the Microsoft Store on Windows, Microsoft processed the payment and Microsoft handles the refund under its own policy. As the developer, we cannot directly refund a Microsoft Store charge.
To request a refund, sign in to your Microsoft account, open your order history, and use Microsoft's refund request process for the StreamVox purchase. Microsoft reviews these requests under the Microsoft Store terms of sale.
As with any channel, your statutory consumer rights still apply. If you run into trouble, email us at founder@streamvox.pro and we will point you in the right direction.
Cancelling Is Not the Same as a Refund
Cancelling a subscription and getting a refund are two different things.
Cancelling stops future renewals — you will not be charged again. It does not automatically refund the period you have already paid for, and your access continues until the end of the period you have paid through. So if you cancel mid-month, you keep your paid features until that month ends, and then the subscription simply does not renew.
A refund returns money you have already paid. Whether you are entitled to one depends on the channel and timing described above (our 14-day guarantee for direct/Paddle purchases; Apple's and Microsoft's policies for store purchases).
How to cancel, by channel:
Apple App Store (macOS): open the App Store, click your account, choose your subscriptions, select StreamVox, and cancel. You can also manage it in System Settings under your Apple ID subscriptions.
Microsoft Store (Windows): sign in to your Microsoft account, open Services & subscriptions, find StreamVox, and turn off recurring billing / cancel.
Direct / web (Paddle): use the subscription-management link in your Paddle receipt email, or contact us at founder@streamvox.pro and we will cancel it for you.
Downloading the app again, deleting the app, or signing out does not cancel a subscription — you must cancel through the channel that bills you.
Auto-Renewal and Forgotten Renewals
All paid StreamVox plans are auto-renewable monthly subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each period, at the same price, until you cancel. This keeps your service uninterrupted.
We understand that people sometimes forget to cancel before a renewal. If a direct / web (Paddle) subscription renews and you contact us promptly after the charge — before you have made real use of the new period — email founder@streamvox.pro and we will look at it fairly and in good faith.
For App Store or Microsoft Store subscriptions, a forgotten renewal must be taken up with Apple or Microsoft respectively, under their refund policies, as they hold the payment. To avoid unwanted renewals, cancel at least a day before the renewal date using the steps in "Cancelling is not the same as a refund" above.
Your Statutory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy takes away or limits the consumer rights you have by law. Our 14-day money-back guarantee is offered in addition to those rights.
If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, distance-selling law normally gives you a 14-day cooling-off period to cancel a purchase made online. There is an important exception for digital content and digital services: where you ask to start using the service immediately and acknowledge that doing so means you lose the cooling-off cancellation right once delivery/access has begun, that statutory right may no longer apply. When you begin using StreamVox straight after purchase, this exception can apply.
Even where the cooling-off right no longer applies, our own 14-day money-back guarantee (for direct/Paddle purchases) and your rights regarding faulty or misdescribed services remain. This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and your local mandatory consumer-protection rights are unaffected.
Note on StreamVox itself: StreamVox provides real-time subtitles and translation as an aid to understanding. Its "Medical mode" helps with comprehension only — it is not a medical device and is not for diagnosis. This does not affect your refund rights, but is stated for clarity.
Questions and Contact
For any question about billing, cancellations, or refunds, email us at founder@streamvox.pro. If your purchase was made through the Apple App Store or Microsoft Store, remember that the refund itself is handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or by Microsoft through your Microsoft account — but we are always happy to help you find the right process.
This Refund Policy works alongside our Terms of Service at streamvox.pro/terms and our Privacy Policy at streamvox.pro/privacy. For macOS App Store purchases, Apple's standard EULA also applies (apple.com/legal/macapps/stdeula), and our Terms of Service sit alongside it.
