Every platform needs an internet connection. Translation and speech recognition run in the cloud, where the models are far more accurate than anything that would fit on the device.

StreamVox for Mac and for iPhone are the same universal app on the App Store, so one purchase covers both. There is no separate iPad app — the iOS build is made for iPhone.
